Author: Harvard researcher, Aditi Shankardass, Ph.D., discusses at a TED Talk how brain imaging is being used to properly identify mental disorders in children so that they can receive appropriate intervention. Could this be a resource for your child or student? What is the potential for this technology in the improvement of individualized instruction for different types of learners, I wonder?

I love this TED talk, and have spent some time trying to find out where I could get one of these scan for my daughter. I’m in the DC/Baltimore area, but have had no luck.

The presenter is from Harvard. That’s about six hours drive from you. Chances are, though, that the folks at Harvard may know someone closer to you who can do this type of evaluation.
