Prepare for the New School Year at a Discount!

With the new school year about to begin for most, and already started for a few, it’s time for parents of children with special needs to get ready to track their children’s progress in school and keep tabs on their local education agencies to make sure that business is being taken care of.

Now through September 30, 2009, our publication, The Special Education Parent Data Book, is on sale!  The print edition has been discounted to $43 per copy and the electronic download version has been discounted to $7.50.

Track telephone calls, correspondence, meeting outcomes (including action items), behavioral interventions, and more!

Our print edition contains enough blank data sheets to cover you for an entire school year.  Our electronic download version comes in PDF format; print as many pages as you need on-demand and keep them in your own 3-ring binder.

(If you anticipate collecting a lot of data, you may find that purchasing our print edition is more cost effective than printing your own pages on-demand from our PDF version.  Take into account the costs of paper and ink when making your choice between the two versions.)

Your feedback is always welcome! We want this to be a powerful tool for you.  If you have suggestions for additional types of data collection forms to add to this parent resource tool, please email your suggestions to PDB@kps4parents.org or post your comments to this blog posting.

"Your podcasts are awesome - I'm going through listening to a lot of them as I prepare for my daughter's annual IEP review this weekend. Besides the convenience of the podcasts, the most useful thing is that you have really important information that's new and not listed on 100 other websites. It's helpful to hear the concrete examples for when good intentions all around went wrong. And it's also helpful that you balance that out with reminders that a relationship needs to be maintained with the special ed administrators."
