In-Service Training Services
Our in-service training services help education agencies teach their personnel what errors to avoid so that parents aren't inclined to pursue legal remedies against their agencies. Just as we provide parent training opportunities, so do we now also offer training and in-services to Local Education Agencies ("LEAs").
Organized in coordination with an LEA's administration, we develop a training schedule and format appropriate to the issues the LEA is seeking to address. These can include building positive collaborations with parents, understanding why parents hire advocates and attorneys, strategies to prevent situations from becoming acrimonious between LEA personnel and parents, and more.
Fees for trainings and in-services are negotiated on a project-by-project basis and are determined by the amount of work to be respectively done by KPS4Parents and the involved LEA.
From time to time, KPS4Parents hosts its own events independent of any public education agencies for the professional education of LEA personnel. These self-hosted events are offered for a per-participant fee and are either provided in-person at local meeting facilities or online via web conferencing.
At this time, KPS4Parents is not set up to offer continuing education units for its trainings, though this will change in the future. We welcome the opportunity to collaborate with other organizations that do offer continuing education units but do not offer the training topics that we offer for jointly conducted events that will allow participants to receive continuing education credit for our training content.
